Anurag Thakur celebrates 52nd birthday in Hamirpur

Former Union Minister and Member of Parliament Anurag Thakur celebrated his 52nd birthday at Gandhi Chowk in Hamirpur during an event organized by the BJP. The celebrations included a 'hawan' ritual and 'kanya पूजन' (worship of young girls). As part of the event, Thakur honored 32 athletes who have demonstrated excellence at the national level.

During the proceedings, Thakur criticized the current government regarding pending demands from employees and pensioners in Himachal Pradesh. He noted that approximately 8,555 crore rupees in payments remain outstanding. Additionally, he addressed unpaid dues for athletes who won medals at national and international levels between 2018 and 2026, calling the lack of compensation for their achievements unfortunate.
