Anutin addresses Senate collusion allegations and corruption claims

Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul has addressed allegations regarding the Bhumjaithai Party’s potential involvement in Senate election collusion. Following a decision by the Election Commission to refer the case to the Supreme Court, Anutin acknowledged that some people remain skeptical of the party's innocence, stating, “There are people who believe [the allegations].”

Additionally, Anutin addressed allegations involving Thongjuea Chatkijcharoen, a member of the Prime Minister’s working group, who has been linked to local government recruitment corruption. Anutin confirmed that he sent an official inquiry to the Royal Thai Police to seek clarity and ensure transparency. While he noted that the Police Commissioner has responded to the inquiry, he declined to disclose the specific details of the response, emphasizing the need for factual evidence to address public doubts.
