Anutin Charnvirakul reaffirms commitment to Thailand

Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, marking his 60th birthday, reaffirmed his commitment to serving the nation and its citizens following his appointment by Parliament and the Bhumjaithai Party. Addressing economic concerns, Anutin noted that several indicators, including GDP, exports, foreign exchange reserves, and employment, show signs of improvement, though he acknowledged ongoing challenges such as poverty and unemployment.

Regarding political tensions, Anutin commented on opposition leader Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut’s recent protest activity aimed at pressuring the Election Commission. Anutin stated that while such actions are a right, all parties must respect the law. He also addressed the recent passage of the 2027 annual budget bill, noting that support from some opposition members suggests the government is moving in a direction that benefits the country.
