Anutin denies government involvement in Senate collusion allegations

Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has addressed upcoming no-confidence debate topics raised by opposition leader Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut. The opposition intends to include allegations of collusion regarding the Senate selection process in their scrutiny of the government.

Anutin stated that the government has no involvement with the Senate, noting that the executive, legislative, and judicial branches are the three independent pillars of the country that must not interfere with one another. He characterized the allegations of Senate collusion as a potential attempt to malign the process, adding that if such collusion were actually occurring, it would be “disgusting,” but maintained that the government is not responsible for it.

While Anutin expressed readiness to clarify general administration matters to the public, he noted that specific technical issues, such as AI or economic policies, would be addressed by the relevant ministers, including Chaichanok Chidchob for digital economy matters.
