Anvisa bans supplements from PSM Pennaforte due to irregular headquarters

Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) has banned the manufacture, import, distribution, and sale of all dietary supplements produced by PSM Pennaforte Produtos Naturais. The decision follows an inspection by sanitary authorities in Marataízes, Espírito Santo, which revealed that the company’s registered address was actually a private residence with no commercial or industrial activity.

Because no manufacturing facility or production line was identified at the location, authorities could not verify the quality, hygiene, or composition of the products. Consequently, Anvisa has ordered the immediate seizure of all existing stocks to protect public health from products of unknown origin and unverified safety standards.
