Anvisa extends validity of regulatory specialist civil service exam
The Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) has extended the validity of its recent civil service examination for the position of Specialist in Regulation and Sanitary Surveillance. According to an official notice published in the Diário Oficial da União, the selection process will now remain valid until October 31, 2028.
The extension allows the agency to continue calling approved candidates from the reserve list as personnel needs arise and authorizations are granted. This follows recent efforts to recompose Anvisa's workforce; while the initial 2024 exam offered 50 higher-education positions, the government has since authorized additional appointments to fill more roles.
In 2025, Anvisa convened 103 candidates for a mandatory training course to facilitate these new appointments. The extension ensures the agency can continue utilizing the existing list of qualified professionals to meet its regulatory and surveillance mandates across the country.
