Anvisa orders seizure of irregular Ocrevus lots in Brazil

Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) has ordered the seizure of two irregular lots of the medication Ocrevus, which is used to treat multiple sclerosis. The affected lots are H7953B14 and H7953B06.

The seizure follows the discovery that these specific units were distributed in the Brazilian market through an unauthorized company whose operating license had been inactive since October 2025. While the medication itself is registered in Brazil, these particular lots were originally intended for other countries and were not produced for the Brazilian market.

Anvisa noted that the irregular entry makes it impossible to guarantee the integrity of the products, as the required storage and transport conditions cannot be verified. The agency has prohibited the storage, sale, distribution, import, export, advertising, and transport of these specific lots. This measure does not constitute a general ban on the Ocrevus medication.
