Anvisa suspends technical note on aesthetic services

Anvisa has temporarily suspended Technical Note No. 2/2024 regarding aesthetic services following mobilization from labor unions and government representatives. The decision comes after meetings between sector workers, represented by entities such as Contracs-CUT and Sindbeleza-DF, and the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic.

During a meeting with Minister Guilherme Boulos, representatives expressed concerns regarding the professional and economic impacts of the technical note. To address these issues, a working group will be formed, including members from Anvisa, the Ministry of Health, the General Secretariat, and sector representatives. The group aims to develop a solution through technical analysis and dialogue, balancing sanitary safety with professional legislation and the practical realities of the beauty and aesthetics industry.
