Anwar Ibrahim offers prayers for child facing surgery

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim responded to a social media appeal for prayers for a young boy, Muhammad Ammar Izdiyad, who is scheduled to undergo tonsillitis surgery.

The request was shared by the boy's mother, Siti Hawa Jamaluddin, on the Threads platform. In a video, Ammar, who faces breathing difficulties due to his condition, personally asked the Prime Minister to pray for his upcoming procedure.

Anwar Ibrahim replied to the post, offering words of encouragement and prayers for the child's safety and recovery, referring to himself as ‘Atuk’ (grandfather) in his response. The interaction drew significant attention and sympathy from social media users.
