Anwar Ibrahim pledges investigation into FELDA after Tabung Haji scrutiny

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has pledged to investigate potential mismanagement within FELDA following the scrutiny of Tabung Haji. Speaking at the 2026 PKR National Congress in Melaka, Anwar stated that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, encouraged the government to continue investigations into people-centric institutions to ensure accountability.

Anwar emphasized that enforcement agencies must act professionally and without compromise, regardless of political affiliation, position, or race. He denied allegations that recent enforcement actions are driven by personal vendettas, arguing that failing to act would be seen as negligence, while acting is being labeled as resentment.

In support of these efforts, PKR leader Fahmi Fadzil highlighted the need to protect strategic institutions like FELDA, Tabung Haji, and Felcra through transparency and integrity. He noted that preventing leakage and corruption in these bodies allows funds to be redirected toward public services such as education, health, and housing.
