Anwar Ibrahim provides aid to family of siblings killed in Tambun accident
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has provided an initial RM2,000 in financial assistance to the family of three siblings involved in a fatal motorcycle accident in Tambun, Ipoh. The accident occurred around 7:20 AM on Jalan Perpaduan near Taman Perpaduan Ria when a motorcycle carrying the siblings collided with a car.
The crash resulted in the deaths of 19-year-old Elyana Nasuha Ibrahim and her 10-year-old sister, Suhaila Ibrahim. A third sibling, aged 12, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.
The assistance was delivered by representatives from the Tambun Parliamentary Community Service Centre to the victims' brother-in-law. Officials noted that the family is currently facing significant hardship, as the siblings lived with their brother-in-law and a sister who is heavily pregnant. Further aid is being coordinated to address medical needs and food supplies for the family.
