Anwar Ibrahim reaffirms relevance of Tun Razak’s ‘3C’ warnings

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated that the ‘3C’ warnings issued by Malaysia’s second Prime Minister, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, remain highly relevant to the nation's current challenges. Speaking at a program honoring Tun Abdul Razak, Anwar noted that while armed communism is no longer a direct threat, the country must remain vigilant against foreign ideologies.

The ‘3C’ framework refers to communism, communalism (racialism), and corruption. Anwar emphasized that racial sentiments and corruption continue to be significant issues that threaten national development and stability. He specifically cautioned the younger generation against corruption, noting that while youth often oppose it, the temptation can increase once they attain positions of power and authority.

Anwar urged the youth to view these historical warnings as a guide to upholding the dignity of the nation and avoiding pitfalls that could jeopardize its future.
