Anwar Ibrahim urges parents to take active role in child development
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on parents to take a more active role in monitoring their children's education, discipline, and social circles. Speaking to reporters after Friday prayers at Masjid Al-Muqarrabin in Kuala Lumpur, he emphasized that the responsibility of raising children should not be left entirely to schools or the government.
Anwar highlighted the importance of family involvement in preventing children from falling into social ills, including drug abuse. He also noted that family cooperation is essential in addressing challenges faced by youth, such as mental health issues and autism.
The Prime Minister urged families to provide necessary guidance, affection, and positive values, such as discipline and respect for teachers, to ensure a secure future for the younger generation.
