Anya Rune announces indefinite hiatus from professional wrestling

Professional wrestler Anya Rune, also known as Airica Demia, has announced an indefinite hiatus from the sport. In a social media post on Monday night, Rune stated that she is taking a step back to prioritize her physical and mental health.

Rune admitted that she has “fallen out of love with wrestling,” though she expressed gratitude for the opportunities the industry has provided. She noted that while she will keep her social media presence active, her content will focus less on wrestling. She expressed hope that the time away might allow her to rediscover her passion for the business.

The announcement follows her release from WWE on September 4. Rune had previously competed on WWE EVOLVE as part of the WWE ID program.
