Anyang City ranks 2nd in Gyeonggi Province for architectural administration

Anyang City has achieved a top-tier ranking in the 2026 Architectural Administration Evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The city ranked second among 31 municipalities in Gyeonggi Province, marking its third consecutive year of high-level performance following a ministerial award in 2024 and a second-place finish in 2025.

The evaluation assessed 243 local governments across five key areas: rationality of administrative procedures, construction safety management, maintenance adequacy, efforts toward administrative improvement, and various scoring adjustments. Anyang was specifically recognized for reducing permit processing times, enhancing the expertise of architectural officials, strengthening safety verification during construction and demolition, and promoting eco-friendly green buildings.

Mayor Choi Dae-ho stated that the achievement is a result of continuous innovation aimed at providing reliable administrative services to both citizens and businesses. Moving forward, the city plans to maintain rigorous safety inspections and further refine administrative procedures to minimize citizen inconvenience.
