Anyang Mayor presents AI smart city policies at UN-ITU forum

Anyang Mayor Choi Dae-ho attended the ‘Forum on AI and Citiverse’ in Tampere, Finland, following an invitation from the United Nations International Telecommunication Union (UN-ITU). As a keynote speaker, Mayor Choi presented Anyang’s smart city policies, focusing on how the city utilizes artificial intelligence and intelligent CCTV to enhance urban safety, traffic management, and disaster response.

Following the forum, Mayor Choi is scheduled to visit the United Kingdom and France to study advanced urban regeneration and garden policies. This part of the trip aims to support Anyang’s initiative to become a ‘carbon-neutral garden city’ by implementing nature-based solutions and applying international expertise to local projects, such as the development of the Anyangcheon Local Garden.
