Anyang Smart T-Um Festival attracts 43,000 visitors
The 23rd Anyang Smart T-Um Festival concluded successfully at the Anyang Stadium Gymnasium, attracting approximately 43,000 visitors over two days. Held from the 29th to the 30th, the event focused on cutting-edge technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), urban air mobility (UAM), autonomous driving, and drones.
Key attractions included exhibitions of future transportation methods, demonstrations of patrol robots, and hands-on experiences with Anyang’s autonomous bus, ‘Juyaro’. The festival also featured various competitions in AI coding, robotics, and drones, where 85 awards, including those from the Minister of Science and ICT, were presented to top performers.
Educational programs such as VR/XR experience centers, science inquiry booths run by local students, and mobile science buses provided interactive learning opportunities. Anyang Mayor Choi Dae-ho expressed his goal to develop the festival into a representative information science event for South Korea while fostering talent to lead the future of the smart city.
