Japan wellness market sees new health products and gym expansions

Various companies in Japan are launching new products and services aimed at addressing lifestyle-related health challenges, such as sedentary behavior and “health fatigue.”

Nestlé Japan is releasing its “Adult Health Plan” series on October 1, 2026, featuring Nescafe Protein Cafe Latte, Nescafe GABA Caffeine-Free Latte, and Nestle Adult Milo with iron. The series aims to help consumers establish healthy habits by simply replacing their usual beverages.

In the fitness sector, several new facilities and products are entering the market. ONO Trading is promoting the Xiser Pro Trainer, a professional-grade stepper designed for home aerobic exercise to combat the lack of movement caused by desk work.

Additionally, several gym expansions are underway: FIT-EASY has pre-opened its Nara Heguri location, featuring saunas and beauty equipment; Anytime Fitness has opened a new 24-hour branch in Nogata, Tokyo; and ECOFIT24 is set to open its 71st location in Kuki, Saitama, on October 13.
