ANZ Clean Freight Council joins MegaTrans to address emissions reporting
The ANZ Clean Freight Council has joined MegaTrans as an Association Partner. The partnership aims to address freight emissions measurement, reporting, and supply chain management within the logistics sector.
MegaTrans is scheduled for 16–17 September 2026 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, gathering transport operators, shippers, ports, and technology providers. The collaboration seeks to provide practical insights for businesses navigating expanding climate-related reporting requirements in Australia.
Michael Blake, founder and executive director of the ANZ Clean Freight Council, noted a significant capability gap in the industry. He stated that while thousands of Australian companies will be required to report supply chain emissions starting in 2028, currently only about 5 per cent of road freight operators can produce accurate and compliant data.
