ANZ Clean Freight Council partners with MegaTrans

The supply chain event MegaTrans has announced a partnership with the ANZ Clean Freight Council. The collaboration aims to address the practical challenges of the Australian freight and logistics sector as it transitions toward a lower-emissions future.

Scheduled for September 16–17 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event will provide attendees with insights into measuring and reporting freight emissions. This partnership comes as mandatory climate-related reporting requirements expand in Australia, placing pressure on businesses to manage supply chain emissions.

Michael Blake, Founder and Executive Director of the ANZ Clean Freight Council, noted a significant capability gap in the industry. He stated that while thousands of Australian companies will be required to report supply chain emissions starting in 2028, currently only about 5 per cent of road freight operators can produce such data confidently, accurately, and compliantly.
