ANZ hosts second Cybercrime Hackathon in Brisbane

The second ANZ Cybercrime Hackathon is taking place in Brisbane on 19 and 20 October. The event is a collaborative effort between ANZ, Griffith University, and Google Cloud, with mentorship provided by the Queensland Police Service.

Participants, including over 100 students, academics, and industry experts, are working within a simulated financial crime task force. The program involves investigating suspicious digital activity, analyzing fraud intelligence, and developing solutions to enhance cyber resilience against modern threats.

Winners of the hackathon are eligible for internship opportunities with ANZ. The initiative aims to build local technical capability and create professional pathways for Queensland talent within the growing technology sector.
