Anza Beach in Agadir Faces Opposition to Jet‑Ski Licensing

Local civil and sports associations in Anza, a beach area north of Agadir, have publicly rejected a proposed licence to operate jet‑ski rentals on the shoreline. In a joint statement they argue that the beach is only about 400 m long with a safe swimming zone of roughly 200 m, and that introducing motorised watercraft would endanger thousands of tourists, surfers and body‑boarders who use the site year‑round. The groups cite previous fatal accidents on larger beaches and warn that the narrow space could lead to daily safety hazards.
