Anzio administration opens dialogue following local business closures
The municipal administration in Anzio has opened a dialogue with local businesses following the closure of the historic Caffè Grand’Italia in Piazza Pia. The local government stated that the current commercial crisis is the result of years lacking a cohesive vision and an organic commercial plan.
Commerce Councilor Valentina Corrado noted that the difficulties facing the historic center are structural, citing high rent costs, a limited resident population with an older average age, and reduced purchasing power. She emphasized that the absence of a structured commercial policy and a long-term strategy has contributed to the current economic instability.
