AO launches AO Mobile MVNO in the UK

Bolton-based electrical retailer AO has launched AO Mobile, a new Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) in the United Kingdom. The service is powered by the Vodafone network, which provides coverage to approximately 99% of the UK population.

In a move toward simplicity, the provider is launching with a single tariff called ‘Ultimate 500GB’. This 30-day rolling SIM-only plan includes 500GB of monthly data, unlimited UK calls and texts, 5G connectivity, and 15GB of inclusive EU roaming.

Pricing is tiered based on AO’s existing membership program. Non-members can access the plan for £18 per month, while AO members pay £12 per month. An AO Membership costs £39.99 annually. The service supports both physical SIM cards and eSIM technology, and allows customers to add up to nine additional SIMs to a single account.
