Aoashi anime announces second season premiere date

A new trailer has been released for the second season of the anime series ‘Aoashi’. The upcoming season will see Kazuki Yokoyama taking over directing duties from Akira Satō. Character designs will be handled by Asami Taguchi and Junko Yamanaka, alongside returning designer Manabu Nakatake.

TMS Entertainment will manage the animation for the second season, replacing Production I.G. The premiere is scheduled for October 4, 2026, on Japanese television. The original manga series by Yugo Kobayashi concluded in August 2025 with its 40th volume, having reached over 15 million copies in circulation worldwide.
