AOC AG276UZ gaming monitor features circular polarization
AOC has introduced a new version of its Agon Pro AG276UZ gaming monitor featuring circular polarization technology. While maintaining the same model name and core specifications, this variant utilizes a quarter-wave plate to convert standard linear polarized light into a circular pattern. The manufacturer claims this approach mimics natural reflected light, potentially reducing eye strain during extended gaming sessions.
The 27-inch Fast IPS panel supports a dual-mode functionality, allowing users to switch between 4K resolution at 240 Hz for high-fidelity gaming and Full HD at 480 Hz for competitive e-sports. Other technical specifications include 450 nits of brightness, a 1 ms GtG response time, and connectivity via DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1. While the technology aims to provide a softer visual experience, independent testing is required to confirm if it offers a measurable advantage over existing blue light filters or flicker-free technologies.
