AOC and LG announce high-speed 1,000 Hz esports monitors

Major display manufacturers are introducing high-refresh-rate monitors targeting the esports and professional gaming markets. AOC, through its AGON PRO brand, has announced the AGP257FT, a 24.5-inch Full HD monitor featuring a native 1,000 Hz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 1,050 Hz. This model utilizes an oxide-based Fast IPS panel to achieve rapid pixel transitions, offering a minimum response time of 0.3 ms GtG and 0.1 ms MPRT. The AGP257FT is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2027.

LG Electronics has also entered this high-speed segment with the UltraGear 25G590B, described as a Full HD gaming monitor with a native 1,000 Hz refresh rate. It includes Motion Blur Reduction Pro technology and AI-based scene optimization to enhance visual clarity for FPS players.

Other manufacturers are expanding their lineups with diverse options. ASUS is launching the 31.5-inch VA329QG3, which offers a 180Hz refresh rate for office and gaming use, alongside the 16-inch ZenScreen MB16AHVE portable monitor. Additionally, JAPANNEXT has released a 27-inch WQHD monitor featuring 65W USB-C power delivery and KVM functionality, aimed at productivity and creative workflows.
