AOC launches Full HD portable monitor in Brazil

AOC has entered the Brazilian portable monitor market with the launch of its 16T20E2 model. The device features a 15.6-inch IPS panel with Full HD (1080p) resolution and a 4 ms response time, which the company notes is significantly faster than the 15 to 16 ms common in the segment.

Positioned with a suggested retail price of R$ 699, the monitor aims to compete with newer brands in a rapidly growing sector. According to AOC product manager Victor Vidal, sales in this category in Brazil rose from 41,000 to 115,000 units over the last 12 months, generating R$ 75 million in revenue. AOC intends to capture market share by offering a reliable brand alternative to recent market entrants.

The 16T20E2 includes a magnetic cover that functions as both a protective shield and a stand. While the device lacks an internal battery to maintain a slim profile, it requires an external power source of at least 15W to achieve 100% brightness. It is compatible with PCs and notebooks.
