AOK Rheinland/Hamburg announces holiday program for siblings of ill children
AOK Rheinland/Hamburg is organizing the ‘Lichtblick-Ferienfreizeit NaturVertrauen’ holiday program for teenagers aged 14 to 17 who have chronically ill siblings. Taking place from October 18 to 23 in the Pegnitztal region of Franconian Switzerland, the program offers activities such as kayaking, climbing, and cave expeditions.
The initiative aims to provide siblings with a space to relax, engage in physical activity, and connect with peers in similar situations. The program is funded through the ‘Cents für kranke Pänz’ donation campaign by AOK employees and individual donations, allowing participation for youth who are not insured with AOK Rheinland/Hamburg. There is a personal contribution fee of 50 euros, and the registration deadline is September 15.
