Aolani signs for 500MW of AI data centre capacity in Malaysia
Aolani, a Singapore-founded neocloud provider, has signed Letters of Intent to secure 500 megawatts (MW) of AI data centre capacity in Malaysia. The capacity is expected to begin coming online in the second half of 2027 across various sites.
The facilities will be designed to Tier III standards to support Aolani’s portfolio of AI factories and GPU deployment. Under the agreement, Aolani will manage the AI infrastructure, GPU deployment, and operating requirements. This expansion brings Aolani’s projected commitment in Malaysia to up to 580MW by 2027, a significant increase from the 80MW committed in 2026.
Malaysia has become a regional hub for AI infrastructure due to competitive power costs and available land. The new capacity aims to serve global hyperscalers and AI-native companies while providing high-performance compute to local Malaysian enterprises, researchers, and sovereign AI programmes.
