Aomori high school job opening ratio hits record 3.2

The job opening ratio for high school graduates in Aomori Prefecture has reached a record high of 3.2, according to the Aomori Labor Bureau. This indicates an unprecedented seller's market for employers.

In response to this trend, the Hachinohe-based supermarket chain Universe held recruitment examinations on September 17. Approximately 26 high school students from within and outside the prefecture participated in written exams and interviews. Universe plans to hire around 30 high school graduates and is actively promoting its workplace environment to attract talent in this competitive market.
