AOR San Carlo’s Cystic Fibrosis Center Leads European Research and Care

The Cystic Fibrosis Centre of the Azienda Ospedaliera Regionale San Carlo in Potenza presented several abstracts at the European Cystic Fibrosis Congress, showcasing results from a multicentre study coordinated by the Ospedale Pediatrico Meyer in Florence. The centre highlighted its integration into national and European research networks and its role in accelerating therapeutic innovation for patients.

The centre, directed by Dr. Sergio Manieri, offers a multidisciplinary care pathway that links paediatric and adult specialists, including pulmonologists, infectiologists and cardiologists. General Director Giuseppe Spera and medical director Angela Pepe underscored the commitment to continuous clinical integration, research participation and rapid translation of scientific findings into patient care.
