Aosta: 38-year-old man hospitalized after nighttime assault

A 38-year-old man, Davide Cappello, is in serious condition following a nighttime assault in Aosta. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, October 4, near via Guido Rey.

Cappello, a postal employee and resident of Aosta for approximately two years, underwent extensive head surgery at Umberto Parini Hospital. While emergency responders arrived shortly after the attack, the victim was unable to identify his assailant.

Local police, including the mobile squad and scientific police, are currently investigating the sequence of events. Authorities are utilizing witness testimonies and surveillance footage to reconstruct the timeline and identify those responsible.
