Aosta hosts first PITER+ PARCOURS+ cross-border governance seminar

The first cross-border governance seminar for the PITER+ PARCOURS+ Integrated Territorial Plan was held in Aosta. Organized by the Aosta Valley Region, the Haute Savoie Department, and the Cluses-Arve et Montagnes community, the meeting focused on a concerted approach to shared regional challenges.

The plan, which operates from September 2024 to September 2028 with a budget exceeding 6.8 million euros, is funded by the Interreg Italy-France Alcotra 2021-2027 program. It addresses four strategic pillars: climate change adaptation, natural and cultural heritage, tourism, and citizenship.

Key initiatives include the IMAJE media education project, climate change adaptation (CC), and the SAISON project, which aims to provide housing for seasonal cross-border workers through the redevelopment of a former industrial area in Cluses. Regional assessors Davide Sapinet and Leonardo Lotto emphasized the importance of territorial cooperation and the need to represent local interests within the European Union's future cohesion policy and multiannual financial framework.
