APAD urges school bus operators to update driver information

School bus operators are required to update their drivers' personal information through the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) portal to facilitate the distribution of a one-off RM1,000 Special Financial Assistance. The update process is available from now until October 30, 2026.

Payments are scheduled to be implemented in phases starting October 22, 2026. To ensure eligibility, APAD will verify driver data against databases from the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (LPKP) and the Road Transport Department (JPJ), including the validity of driving and Public Service Vehicle (PSV) licenses.

Operators must provide complete details, including names, current addresses, phone numbers, valid license statuses, and bank account numbers for payment purposes.
