Aparecida de Goiânia launches free-service day offering health, legal and social assistance

The municipality of Aparecida de Goiânia organized a one‑day mutirão on Saturday, May 23, delivering more than 100 free services to residents at the Neivio Rocha Municipal School in the Andrade Reis neighborhood. Health provisions included eye exams, blood‑pressure checks, glucose tests, rapid tests, rabies vaccination, updates to SUS cards, flu shots, and free animal‑spay registration. Social assistance covered CadÚnico enrollment, issuance of autism, senior and disability cards, and support for families with special needs. Legal aid offered free counsel on alimony, divorce, paternity, custody and other matters, while municipal offices processed documents such as birth, marriage and death certificates and identity cards. The finance department handled tax inquiries and payment plans, and the labor office provided job interviews, apprenticeships and résumé workshops.

On the same day the city also held a second "Dia D" flu‑vaccination campaign at 32 locations, including a mobile vaccination van at the Jardim Tiradentes sports gym. The effort targets priority groups—children, seniors, pregnant women, people with comorbidities and public‑service workers—and seeks to raise vaccination coverage from the current 36 % toward the national 90 % goal. More than 39 000 doses have already been administered in the municipality.
