Aparecida de Goiânia hosts animal adoption fair with 32 pets
The Aparecida de Goiânia City Hall organized a Responsible Animal Adoption Fair on Saturday, 11 July, at Aparecida Shopping. The event, run by the municipal Environment Secretariat (Semma) and the Animal Care Program (PATA), offered 32 rescued animals – 26 dogs and 6 cats – for free adoption between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Interested adopters must present an ID, proof of residence and bring a transport crate for cats or a collar for dogs. Each adopted pet receives a free spay/neuter voucher from Semma. Municipal Environment Secretary Pollyana Borges emphasized that the fair “goes beyond finding a new home; it encourages responsible guardianship and combats abandonment.” Mall marketing manager Raphael Souza added that the partnership “unites solidarity, responsibility and care for animals.”
