Aparecida de Goiânia opens registration for 13th annual charity race

Registration is open for the 13th edition of the Circuito Aparecida Correndo pela Vida, scheduled for Sunday, September 20, in Aparecida de Goiânia. Organized by the local government in partnership with regional companies, the event expects to gather approximately 2,000 athletes.

The competition includes 5km and 10km races, a walking event, and a youth race. Participants are required to donate 2kg of non-perishable food when collecting their kits, which will be available on September 18 and 19 at Aparecida Shopping. The collected donations will be distributed to vulnerable families by the Municipal Social Assistance Secretariat.

This year's event is also aligned with the ‘Setembro Amarelo’ (Yellow September) campaign, which focuses on suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Mayor Leandro Vilela emphasized that the race aims to promote self-care, physical activity, and social connection while supporting those facing emotional difficulties.
