Aparecida de Goiânia proposes land discounts to attract businesses
Mayor Leandro Vilela has submitted Bill No. 091/2026 to the Aparecida de Goiânia City Council, establishing the ‘Acelera Aparecida’ program. The initiative aims to attract new investments, support business expansion, and increase local employment and income.
The proposal allows for the sale of public land with discounts of up to 80% on the appraised value of bare land. These benefits are contingent upon specific criteria, including the volume of investment, the number of direct and indirect jobs created, technological innovation, environmental sustainability, and social impact.
For municipal properties, the program utilizes a concession of real right of use through a bidding process, with property transfers only permitted after a minimum of five years of concession. For areas managed by the Aparecida Development Company (Codap), subsidized sales may be conducted directly to selected beneficiaries. Companies must adhere to strict obligations, and failure to meet established goals may result in the return of the land to the municipality without compensation.
