Aparecida de Goiânia reduces ITBI tax rate to 1.5%

Mayor Leandro Vilela of Aparecida de Goiânia has sanctioned Complementary Law No. 251/2026, which establishes a temporary reduction in the Real Estate Transfer Tax (ITBI). The measure reduces the tax rate from 2.5% to 1.5% for a limited period between October 5 and November 6, 2026.

The program aims to stimulate the local real estate market and encourage property owners to regularize their documentation. The reduced rate applies to transactions within the Housing Finance System (SFH) and the Real Estate Financing System (SFI) regarding the non-financed portion, as well as other onerous property transfers defined by municipal legislation.

This initiative follows a request from the Court of Justice of Goiás (TJ-GO) to align with the National Conciliation Week for tax debt regularization. Additionally, the mayor announced the upcoming publication of a decree for the Tax Recovery Program (Refis). To qualify for the reduced rate, payments must be made in a single installment via the Municipal Single Collection Document (DUAM).
