Aparecida de Goiânia reopens avenue after emergency road repairs
The city government of Aparecida de Goiânia has reopened Avenida Benedito Silvestre de Toledo in the Independência Mansões sector following emergency repairs. The road had been closed after heavy rainfall on Wednesday, October 14, caused the asphalt to collapse and damaged the local drainage system.
Work conducted by the Municipal Infrastructure Secretariat (Seinfra) focused on repairing the storm drainage network, replacing damaged pipes, reconstructing a manhole, and stabilizing the soil and road base. While the road has been cleared for vehicle traffic to reduce transit disruptions, the final application of a new asphalt layer is scheduled for Monday, October 19.
