Apartment fires reported in Vesoul and Fougères
Two separate apartment fires have been reported in France. In Vesoul, a fire broke out on the fifth floor of a building on Rue de la Franche-Comté. While the tenant was absent during the incident, two cats perished in the blaze. Firefighters utilized a pump truck and an aerial lift to control the fire and ventilate the apartment. Residents were evacuated temporarily following explosive measurements but were later allowed to return to their homes.
In Fougères, a significant fire occurred on Tuesday night at an apartment building on Avenue Georges-Pompidou. Firefighters deployed aerial ladders and water hoses to prevent the flames from spreading to adjacent buildings. A 32-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Due to the damage, 17 residents were required to find alternative accommodation, with five receiving assistance from the local municipality.
