APAS announces new leadership for 2026–2028 biennium

The São Paulo Supermarket Association (APAS) has announced new leadership appointments for the 2026–2028 biennium. During a ceremony attended by Governor Tarcísio de Freitas and São Paulo Mayor Ricardo Nunes, José Rebelato was inaugurated as the regional director for Presidente Prudente. Rebelato, a manager at Supermercado São João, previously served as vice-director for the region.

Additionally, Márcio Cavalaro, a commercial manager at Cocipa, has joined the APAS Board of Directors. Cavalaro, who previously served as the regional director for Presidente Prudente, aims to bring regional demands from the state's interior to the state-level agenda, focusing on technological innovation and professional training.

Erlon Ortega will continue his term as president of APAS. The association's current priorities include institutional discussions regarding tax reform, ICMS-ST, and the regulatory environment. Ortega also highlighted the need to modernize labor relations to accommodate a workforce where young people represent approximately one-third of employees.
