Apaseo el Grande plans urban development for new railway station

The municipality of Apaseo el Grande held its Fifth City Forum to address urban development and mobility in anticipation of new infrastructure projects, specifically the arrival of a passenger train station.

During the event, a collaboration agreement was formalized with the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial, and Urban Development (Sedatu) to strengthen municipal planning and mobility instruments. Additionally, an alliance was established with the government of Mérida to share administrative best practices.

Paola Gómez, Director of Mobility and Road Safety at Sedatu, noted that an urban mobility study is currently underway to integrate the future railway station into the municipal territory. This study aims to anticipate requirements for infrastructure, connectivity, and services.
