APC appoints Eze Onyebuchi Chukwu to 2027 campaign council
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has named Eze Onyebuchi Chukwu as the Deputy Director of Youth Mobilisation for the South-East Zone of its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council. Chukwu, who serves as the National Youth Leader for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), will work under Zonal Director Obinna Iyiegbu, a businessman widely known as Obi Cubana.
However, Chukwu has expressed surprise at the appointment. Comr. Onyebuchi O. Chukwu, who also serves as a Special Assistant to Abia State Governor Alex Otti, stated he was neither consulted nor informed about the inclusion on the campaign list. He noted that his current role is within the administration of Governor Otti, whose Labour Party is politically distinct from the APC. The campaign council is expected to be formally inaugurated on October 14, 2026, in Abuja.
