APC Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda begins two-week vacation

Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has commenced a two-week vacation outside the country. The party stated the break follows a demanding first year of his tenure, during which he worked to strengthen party structures, organize the National Convention, and conduct primary elections.

The vacation is intended to allow Yilwatda to rest and re-strategize in preparation for the 2027 general elections and the continued implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda. During this period, he also plans to finalize arrangements for an upcoming National Working Committee (NWC) retreat to review party progress and address emerging challenges.

The APC emphasized that the chairman’s absence will not disrupt party operations, as the National Working Committee will continue to function according to the party’s constitution and established procedures.
