APC grassroots mobilisation begins in Enugu and Lagos for 2027 elections

Political groups in Nigeria have launched grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections to support the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In Enugu State, the Peter Mbah Continuity Group (PMCG) has activated a structure spanning 17 Local Government Areas and 260 wards. The group aims to communicate the achievements of Governor Peter Mbah’s administration and mobilise support for the APC. PMCG Convener Dr. Martilord Ifeanyichi stated the initiative is designed to deepen engagement and ensure residents understand government policies.

In Lagos State, the Azerbaijan Movement has also commenced mobilisation for the APC. The movement intends to consolidate support for candidates from the presidency to the state level while sensitising residents regarding the infrastructure and economic programmes of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. The group seeks to facilitate communication between grassroots needs and elected representatives.
