APC possesses Nigeria's strongest political structure, says Sumner Sambo

Sumner Sambo, Director of News and Politics at Arise News, has stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) possesses the strongest political organization among Nigeria’s major parties. Speaking on Arise Television, Sambo noted that the APC’s campaign machinery and the presidential campaign council assembled by President Bola Tinubu appear unmatched in terms of organizational strength ahead of the 2027 election.

However, Sambo cautioned that the party faces significant challenges that could undermine its position. He highlighted growing voter dissatisfaction in key regions, particularly in the North, driven by economic hardship, political tensions, and insecurity. He also noted that internal contradictions within the APC could further weaken the party.

In contrast, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) is expected to launch its own presidential campaign council to prepare for the upcoming electoral cycle.
