APC stakeholders appeal to Tinubu over Eti-Osa candidate dispute

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Eti-Osa Constituency I, Lagos State, have appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in a dispute regarding the party’s candidate for the constituency.

Party leaders, religious figures, and community representatives are calling for the restoration of Noheem Adams as the official candidate. They claim Adams won the primary election held on May 20, 2026, with 7,638 votes, significantly outperforming challenger Saheed Bankole, who reportedly received 1,225 votes.

Despite these claims, the APC Lagos State chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, stated that the party’s published candidate list remains the official outcome. Ojelabi noted that the state chapter published results submitted by a committee appointed by the party’s national leadership, which named Saheed Bankole as the candidate.
