APEC 2027 infrastructure projects in Phu Quoc reach 46% disbursement

Infrastructure projects intended to serve the APEC 2027 summit in Phu Quoc have reached a disbursement rate of 46%. According to the An Giang Department of Finance, over 6,300 billion VND has been disbursed as of August 24.

Central budget funds account for 3,388 billion VND (40.85% of the plan), while local budget funds account for 2,961 billion VND (53.84% of the plan). Projects are categorized into three groups based on progress:

- High progress: Includes seven projects such as Phu Quoc International Airport, technical infrastructure undergrounding in Duong Dong, and the APEC Conference Center. - Average progress: Includes ten projects such as the APEC Boulevard and various resettlement areas. - Slow progress: Includes seven projects, primarily waste treatment and water management facilities, which are currently facing delays due to land clearance, investment procedures, and resource constraints.
